Pinky swear: Employees at Wal-Mart reported a woman dressed all in pink with red hair had fled the store without paying for all of the merchandise in her cart, Tuesday. Police said they spotted a female matching that description “frantically running through parking stalls and hiding between vehicles” and when they moved into position to intercept her, she allegedly began “openly running” through the lot “then stopped and began hiding behind more vehicles, attempting to conceal herself.” An officer reported grabbing her by the arm and walking her to the cruiser, where he claimed she “began to swear and scream at (him.)” After securing her in the cruiser he went back to where she had been hiding and retrieved her pink coat and claimed he found drug paraphernalia in a pocket. Employees alleged the woman had “skip-scanned” merchandise and concealed some items in containers, and that she’d been accompanied by a man and another woman who “ditched totes packed full of merchandise totaling hundreds of dollars” when the woman in pink was confronted after the last point of sale. Police said the woman, identified as Reva S. McCullough, 34, 43943 Sherwood Road, Wellsville, “did not offer any explanation as to the alleged theft and was extremely rude and hostile toward (them), showing no signs of remorse or guilt and appeared to be upset that she was caught.” The officer who took her into custody alleges she made a mess in the rear of (his) cruiser and directed derogatory language at him “for making the arrest.” He also noted she had an EPT card on her at the time of the alleged theft and has for her arrest in Columbiana County. McCullough was charged with petit theft and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.
