Dog days: A Ridge Avenue woman told police she needed help getting a male to leave her home, Monday. She said the two of them argued because he “let her dogs outside and left them.” When he wouldn’t leave her home, she admits “grabbing his coat and pulling him out of the residence” and claims he “threatened to burn her house down with (her) dogs inside” but there were no witnesses. Once he realized she’d called police he fled, she said.

Got the boot: A juvenile told police he saw “a male in all black banging and yelling” at a residence in the 1200 block of Lincoln Avenue, Tuesday. Police located the man, who said he’d been staying there and was recently kicked out and wanted to retrieve his hair clippers. The female said he was banging on the door, but she’d already put all his things on the porch for him to collect. As they were leaving police said the woman’s mother arrived at the residence and wanted them to arrest the male, claiming he’d hit her daughter. The homeowner said he’d “hit her earlier in the day but did not elaborate.”

Grinch strikes again: A Wilshire Boulevard resident complained his light display was damaged overnight and said it’s been an ongoing issue, Tuesday. He pointed out a section of lights he claimed had been intentionally cut, and police said the wire was separated in one area and “appeared to be cut or snapped.” He said he’d had the same issue last year and he has about $40 invested in the lights.

Junky: A truck parked in a lot in the 200 block of Lawson Avenue had no tires and parts had been removed, Tuesday. The vehicle is not driveable and does not have a plate, so a notice was mailed to the owner to have it removed.

Booked: David Bertoia, 31, 319 Patricia Ave., Weirton, theft, possession of drugs, Tuesday. Police said Bertoia was charged with possession of drugs an taken into custody on a theft warrant (Steubenville Municipal Court) after a traffic stop in the 200 block of North Seventh Street. He also was charged with possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia after police allegedly found 13 grams of crack cocaine in his possession.

Stabbed: A woman told deputies her boyfriend had been stabbed by his former housemate, Tuesday. The victim said the man had invited him to “come get the rest of his items from his home,” but when he got there he was “acting weird toward him and getting loud.” He claims the man told him he “didn’t need a gun to kill him, then pulled out a knife and started stabbing him.” Deputies said they charged, Robert Sindeldecker, no age listed, Tiltonsville, with felonious assault and aggravated menacing.
