Making friends: A woman in the 500 block of North Fourth Street told police her vehicle had been vandalized, inside and out, Tuesday. She said she thought she locked it but police said there were no signs of forced entry. Police said the windshield was cracked, the inside lining of the trunk was torn open, the rear view mirror wires were pulled out and the passenger side had been scraped. She said she doesn’t get along with her next door neighbor and believes he was responsible for the damage.
Downplayed: A resident in the 200 block of North Forest Avenue said her neighbor’s dog was loose and came in her yard and when the neighbor came to get it the woman “began to yell at her,” Tuesday. The neighbor said they “got into an argument” after her dog broke free from his leash. Police told her she needed to do a better job securing her dog and to stay away from the caller.
False alarm: Someone reported seeing a man “possibly choking a female” in a vehicle in a South Third Street lot, Tuesday. Police said the couple told them they’d pulled into the lot because of a vehicle issue, denied being in an altercation and said they weren’t in need of assistance. Police said there was nothing to suggest a fight had taken place.
