Bee scare: Deputies responded to a report of a boy allergic to bee stings who was stung and fell into a creek near township Road 371 in Island Creek Township Monday afternoon. The officers found the boy at home, alert and talking.

Steubenville Police

Charged: Derrick Giles, no fixed address, two counts of burglary.

Charged: Antell M. West, 38, Apartment 304, 180 N. Fourth St., trespassing and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Cited: Amanda M. Meridth, 23, 1049 Lincoln Ave., failure to assure clear distance; and Timothy W. Derby, 37, 145 Hillcrest Road, Weirton, expired plates.

Charged: Deziray N. Eckenrode, 34, 56 state Route 164, Salineville, possession of a controlled substance, driving under the influence and expired registration.
