Police said they had stopped the four in the 900 block of Adams Street and warned them that particular section of Adams Street “is dark, windy and a hill, (so) a driver coming down the hill could potentially not see them in time, resulting in them being hit.” After warning them they could be cited if they do it again police said Whatley “then walked away and immediately walked right back into the middle of the roadway and continued west on Adams Street,” police said.
On a roll: A caller reported seeing a male “acting erratic” in the middle of the 100 block of Belleview Boulevard, Monday. Punched: An Irondale juvenile told deputies he was assaulted by his mother’s boyfriend in the early morning hours, Sunday. He said her boyfriend was “irritated that he woke up the dog and punched him in the throat.” He told deputies he was “throwing a get-together for one of (his) buddies” so he’d waited several hours to report it, and that three witnesses had said they’d provide written statements.
