Calling it quits: A man in the 4200 block of Sunset Boulevard told police he and his girlfriend were having problems and he “just wanted to leave and not return,” Saturday. He showed them “a very small cut on his wrist” but refused to give any other information. His girlfriend said they’d just returned home and started drinking, which led to an argument. She said he “grabbed her hair and started pulling her around” and the mark on his arm was possibly from her nail when she was trying to get loose from him. Her daughter said when she and her boyfriend got to the residence, her mother’s boyfriend “met him in the yard, got in his face and began screaming” but the confrontation never became physical. The mother’s boyfriend “grabbed some of his tools and property” but said there were several items she wanted but she wouldn’t let him take. He was told he’d have to go through the courts to dispute ownership.
Dropped: Someone picking up a sandwich at a shop dropped a plastic bag containing a crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine, Saturday.

Nature walk: A woman reported seeing a man on county Road 16 “walking around outside, naked,” June 5. Deputies said they couldn’t find him but when they went to the address the caller had given them and asked the resident if he’d seen a man who didn’t have any clothes on walking by, the man told them “he might know what this is about.” He said he went to shower but “forgot his clothes, which were in his garage” so he ran out the back door naked to his garage to get them. He said his garage door “was open and someone may have seen him if they drove by.” The man characterized it as a misunderstanding and apologized, and deputies advised him he needs to “have clothes on or something covering his body up” when he’s outside his home. He told them it wouldn’t happen again.
Man charged: A Richmond-area man was taken into custody because he allegedly had been “making threats” to a neighbor with whom he’s had problems earlier in the day, June 5. Deputies charged Raymond Higgs, 52, who lives on state Route 43, with menacing after watching a video in which he allegedly threatened the other man. Higgs told deputies “his actions and comments were in self-defense and that the argument had started because (the other man) had made comments he did not like,” but after reviewing the video, deputies said the neighbor “was not heard in the video making any threats toward him, though (his) actions could be viewed as antagonizing.”
Booked: Nicholas R. Bozman, 33, 1385 township Road 428, Toronto, probation violation, June 4.
