Not worth it: A city resident ended up in custody after allegedly throwing “a small, glass Don Julio Tequila bottle” at the driver’s side window of a car operated by another woman, Tuesday. Lindsay Lawrence, 33, 711 Market St., Apt. G, was charged with criminal mischief. The victim said she came to the property to pick someone up and was trying to leave when Lawrence “came up to her car and began to yell and scream at her.” She told police her young daughter was in the back seat so when Lawrence continued to scream at her and called her out, she got out of the car and “the incident escalated into a physical confrontation” when Lawrence pushed her, admitting she “pushed … back and punches were thrown.” Other residents intervened so she got back in her car and was trying to leave when her window was shattered by the bottle, scattering glass all over the vehicle and her. Police said she had some cuts on her arms, the sides of her stomach and knee. In court Wednesday, Lawrence pleaded guilty but told Judge John Mascio the other woman kept coming at her, even after she was in handcuffs. Lawrence was sentenced to 60 days in jail (30 suspended) and be on probation for a year.
Bothered: A woman in the 100 block of North Fourth Street said a man known to her “is harassing her by calling her profane names,” Tuesday.
Seeing is believing: A Euclid Avenue resident complained to police about a neighbor “throwing trash in her yard and damaging her property,” Tuesday. She said it’s been going on for months, and police said there was “trash near (her) fence and damage to her air conditioner.” She said she tried to speak with the juvenile’s mother but “she gets argumentative whenever the issue is brought up” and the neighbor’s landlord “provided no assistance.” While police were talking to her the neighbor saw them and “began to argue over the matter,” police said.
Theft: A woman fled Rural King with a white garbage bag stuffed with Carhart items she hadn’t paid for, Tuesday. The store manager said she saw the woman walk into the fitting room stall with “several articles” of clothing and a large, empty bag, then emerged with a very full bag and when she told her she wasn’t leaving without paying for the merchandise, she “went into the restroom and stayed there for some time.” The manager said the woman emerged “some time” later with the bag still full and power-walked to the exit without paying for anything. She continued through the parking lot “before changing her shirt and sprinting toward (the mall.)” The stolen items were valued at about $300.
Questions: A Market Street resident said her sons were fighting with her, Tuesday. She said when they came in the house she asked them to clean their rooms but they started arguing and when she threw a bottle of water at them, one of them “picked her up and threw her out of the room.” The boys said she started the fight, “unprovoked,” and admitted when she threw the water they pushed her out the door to separate themselves. The mother wanted them removed from the house but police advised that was not a possibility, and even though she said they’d been living with her more than two years she wanted them to move in with her mother. Police told the boys to clean their room and then go for a walk but to return at whatever time she told them. She told police she doesn’t tell them when to come “because they don’t listen.”
Theft: A city resident said someone stole a 4,400-watt generator from the backyard of a property in the 500 block of Cedar Avenue, Tuesday.
Fraud: A Market Street resident reported $1,177 missing from his account, Tuesday. He said he noticed some missing Feb. 26, then again on March 4. He said he’s already reported it to his bank.
Cited: Charles Dipalma, 37, 516 N. Fourth St., Steubenville, barking dog. Police said they spotted the dog tied to a fence without food, water or shelter and waited more than 20 minutes for him to return before positing “a notice of violations observed” on his door.

Deputies reported confiscating a hypodermic, a burned spoon and a scale with white residue from the vehicle before citing the man for the headlight violation. Details related to his identity weren’t readily avaiable.
