Jammie threat: A caller reported seeing a man holding two knives trying to get in a Crabbe Boulevard apartment, Saturday. Police were en route when he fled, but the resident said she watched him through her security camera and he really was "holding two knives and was screaming at her to open up the door." The resident also showed them a text from the man saying that, "since she didn't open up the door, he would come back in his pajamas with his AR (rifle)." The resident said her only past involvement with the man was selling him a Sony Play Station.
Watered down: Someone stole the copper pipe from two baseboard heaters in an apartment in the 800 block of Market Street. The building's maintenance manager told police when the thieves took the pipe "the water line to the heater broke and flooded (two) apartments," one of them the apartment where the pipe was missing. The tenant living in the apartment under it said water leaked through her ceiling for more than an hour before maintenance got the water off, and police said her "belongings and furniture were covered in water and there were puddles ... throughout the apartment" and the electricity went out while they were talking to her. The tenant living in the apartment where the pipe was stolen said she'd been away from home for two days and came home to discover her apartment flooded.
Family fight: A woman in the 400 block of Union Avenue called for help when she thought her father was going to come to blows with her sister's live in boyfriend, who she said has been "harassing her every time he sees here, whether it's sitting on her porch or talking to her (father.)" Her sister's live-in claimed the female was the one causing problems, claiming he is "continually harassed by her" and claims the father ran onto his porch yelling at him and threatening to shoot him, so he'd threatened to turn the father in for growing marijuana in his residence. The father said he was already upset about how the live-in boyfriend was treating his daughter and had watched him harassing his other daughter, and once he was on the porch he said the boyfriend "began threatening him and took an aggressive stance toward him," prompting his daughter to call for help. Police told all involved to avoid each other as much as possible.
Vandalized: A man keeping an eye on a property belonging to a man being held in the Jefferson County jail told police someone had vandalized the property, Saturday. He said he hadn't been to the property for about a week and when he arrived that day he "found the walls and furniture in the living room spray painted, two holes punched into the walls and the kitchen window shattered by a large brick."
Driver charged: A Dillonvale man was booked into the Jefferson County jail after he allegedly continued driving when police tried to pull him over after spotting a "shower of sparks" caused by one of his tires stuck "sideways' and dragging on the roadway in the 900 block of Adams Street, Saturday. Police said the front end of the man's truck also was heavily damaged and allege the driver, identified as Timothy F. Piergallini, 67, 1373 township Road 138, Dillonvale, ignored efforts to stop him and "began to accelerate, continuing all the way up Suset Boulevard to Belleview Boulevard at a high rate of speed before eventually coming to a stop." Piergallini was charged with failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer, operating a vehicle under the influence and hit/skip.
Stand out: Employees at a Hollywood Plaza business asked police to check on a female who had been parked in the lot most of the day and "appeared to be heavily under the influence when they spoke with her," Saturday. The woman told police she'd rented the car and was waiting for a family member to arrive to drive her car come. Police said she was "very animated in her answers and sporadic in her movements," and while getting her identifying information from her wallet they spotted a hypodermic needle and a "bottle cap flipped up with a small piece of cotton near it" and recovered a glass pipe. Sheena Gibson, 43, Indiana, Pa., was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Throwing things: A disturbance was reported in the 800 block of Market Street, Sunday. Police said the female involved was "visibly upset" and there was "trash and clothes all over the floor and stairs." The woman said she and her boyfriend had argued but denied anything physical taking place. The boyfriend also denied it became physical and said she'd started arguing with him so he left. Witnesses said they saw the female throw the items in the hallway, so police told her to clean it up and stay away from the man.
Backfired: A Rosswell Avenue resident said he loaned his truck to neighbors to help them move only to discover two chainsaws missing from it after they brought it back, Saturday. He asked police to document the loss while he attempts to recover the items.
Kid stuff: A Buena Vista resident upset by "noises from kids bouncing the ball" told police they had a basketball hoop in the street, Friday.
