Violent man: A caller reported seeing a man trying to take a purse from a female who was screaming for help, Wednesday. Both of them had left the scene but the caller told police the male had claimed they were dating and the woman had taken something of his. When another man tried to intervene, the caller said the male “began yelling at him.” Another female at the scene told police the victim didn’t want to talk with them so she took her to another location. She said the victim had told her “her boyfriend beats on her and that she did not take anything of his.”

Moving in: A caller claimed a male and female are smoking methamphetamine in a condemned building in a Clinton Street residence, Wednesday. Police said the front door was unlocked and open and they heard a female talking upstairs. She was the only one there and when police told her to gather her items and leave, she did. They also told her not to return to any building she didn’t own or have the owner’s permission to be in.

He said he initially told her yes, but when he changed his mind they struggled. He got the wallet back but said she kept his ID. Police located the woman, who told police she didn’t have the ID and the man had taken it back.

Disturbance: A disturbance was reported in the 700 block of Market Street, Wednesday. Police said both residents admitted arguing but said it never escalated to violence and there was nothing to indicate otherwise. The female left the apartment to avoid further problems.
