Hit and miss: A Salineville motorist told deputies her sister and a friend became “really angry” when she slammed her brakes to avoid hitting a deer and “started assaulting her, slamming her face into the window and dashboard,” Friday. She said she left the two of them on state Route 164.

A county resident pushed the panic button because someone was pounding on her window, Sunday. She told dispatchers the individual was “yelling her name and knocking on her window,” so she’d hid in her laundry room. Deputies identified the would-be intruder as her husband, who’d been released from jail after serving three years. She said it was OK for him to be there.

Booted out: A Bergholz resident reported a family member was “drunk and being combative,” Deputies who spoke with her said she told them he was being belligerent and she dealt with it, throwing him out of the house.

Bull headed: A Bloomingdale resident said his neighbor’s bull was on his property and had damaged his fence, but he didn’t want the owner coming onto his property to retrieve the animal, Monday. Deputies told him it was a civil issue.

Trespassing: An Alliance woman said she’d been notified by neighbors that a property on Wilson Avenue left in her care is being vandalized by a family with whom she’s had trouble in the past, Sunday. She said individuals have been seen on the property “burning tires in the driveway and (doing) some of the new damage to (it),” and said when she went to their house a year ago to discuss some problems she had with them she’d spotted property that had been removed from her family’s home, deputies said. The caller told deputies she won’t pursue charges now, but she wants them to be warned to stay off the property or face the consequences.

Hung up: A semi got hung up on the railroad tracks on Third Street in Tiltonsville, Sunday. The driver said he needed to get to a filling station with diesel fuel, but the first station he found wouldn’t accommodate his truck. He said GPS directed him to another station but when he came to the railroad tracks “he wasn’t sure he would make it over the tracks due to the steepness,” but when he decided to try anyway his truck got hung up on the tracks. Deputies drew his attention to the “no trucks” signs posted at the crossing and he said he hadn’t noticed them until after he got stuck. A tow truck had to be called to move the truck.
