They said when they arrived a man and woman were sitting in a car in the street in front of the residence and a third person was "laying on the ground in front of (it)." Police said the man on the ground had a bloody nose, smelled of alcohol and "could barely stand on his own." The officer said he heard the man telling the woman, who lived at the residence, "You better not tell them." The woman police the male had pushed her and grabbed her by the neck when she tried to leave. The male in the car said she'd asked him to get her because the male, with whom she lives, was being physically and emotionally abusive and when he got there the man had hold of her neck but when he pulled up the drunken man ran up and kicked his car door, then went after the female again. He said he pushed the man to the drunken man to the ground and kicked him. The female told police she wanted to pursue charges this time, admitting in the past she "has not been truthful about (him allegedly) abusing her because she is fearful of him." Shawn P. Ryan, 53, Steubenville, was charged with domestic violence, police said. Due to his "highly intoxicated" state he had to be cleared medically before he was booked, they added.

Chill: Callers reported two women "in their mid- to late-70s" were fighting in the 3000 block of Johnson Road, Friday. Woman No. 1 admitted the fight started when she confronted the other female about a missing debit card and money, claiming Woman No. 2 had been stealing money from her though police said she was foggy about the details and also claimed she'd seen the other woman on her bank's camera trying to use her debit card to withdraw money from her account the week before she insists the debit card and her money disappeared. Later in the conversation Woman No. 1 admitted her debit card wasn't missing and said the fight started when she approached the other woman to demand belongings she thinks Woman No. 2 stole from her room. She said Woman No. 2 was upset and smacked her so she hit her back. Woman No. 2 said she has no idea about anything missing from the other woman's room and told police that while they hit each other, Woman No. 1 hit her first. She said Woman No. 1 "confronted her and attempted to push her way into the doorway with her motorized wheelchair" so she tried to push her away but couldn't.

He said the four people, two of whom he could identify, pulled up in front of his apartment as his girlfriend was outside throwing up and a "physical argument" erupted between her and the females in the car. He said his girlfriend was somehow briefly dragged by the car and when she fell to the ground, the women got out of the car and assaulted her. The boyfriend told police he was able to separate them and got his girlfriend back to the residence but the occupants of the car, joined by another woman, came to the back of his residence and tried to force their way in. Police said he told them he was able to shut and lock his back door but they "kicked and hit (it)," causing damage, then claimed one of them threw a brick through his window before fleeing when they realized he'd called 9-1-1. One of her companions said she lives in the residence but is currently fixing a residence elsewhere, but she shares a child with the man living in the residence and had left the child with him "so she could go out." She said he didn't answer her texts and when she got to the residence, "he would not answer the door" so she opened a window and climbed in. An argument ensued and when the male smacked her friend the friend broke his front window. She claimed her husband hit her in the face, though police said there were no physical markings. He said she arrived at the residence "and began breaking things," but denied an altercation. A female who was at the residence with him "provided the same story" as the woman's husband, police said.

Disfunctional: A Wellesley Avenue resident said a woman he let keep some things in his basement entered through a broken window and started packing her things up as well as his, Saturday. He said she'd put a "bunch of his things" in his suitcases along with her own, and before police arrived he'd retrieved his possessions and put hers out in the yard. She claimed she entered through an unlocked door and insisted she didn't take anything that belonged to the man, though she did use his cases. She gave them back and packed her things in garbage bags, and accused the male of "pulling and pushing her off of his property." Later in the shift police said the woman called them to an Oak Grove Avenue residence, complaining that someone let the male in the building and started going through her things after accusing her of taking a pair of boots that didn't belong to her and refused to leave. She claimed he hit the side of her face but she was eating a packet of red sugar that had turned her mouth, lips and fingers red so they couldn't tell if she'd been injured. The homeowner confirmed the man was inside the apartment, but he had permission to be there and was not causing any problems. The homeowner said he came to the residence to retrieve a pair of shoes the woman "possibly had in her possession" and the two of them argued but she didn't see any physical altercation. Police said she told them she wanted the woman to leave her home. On Sunday, she returned to the Wellesley Avenue residence where the man who had let her store her things in the basement said she broke a window and "was outside of the residence screaming."
