Stressed: A Wintersville man told deputies his brother pulled a knife on him during a disagreement at a residence in the Steubenville area, Tuesday. He had an abrasion on the back of his head but did not require stitches, deputies said. His brother said he was using the microwave when the injured man walked up behind him and began arguing. He said he was started and shoved him into the microwave stand. He said they rarely argue and alcohol may have been a factor, and they’re also dealing with a stressful family situation. The injured man said he didn’t want to pursue charges.
Masked: An Amsterdam resident told deputies there was a “large fight possibly going to happen outside her residence, Monday. She said several teens “with a few possible adults,” all of them wearing ski masks were outside her home “screaming to get the kids inside the house to come out and fight” before eventually leaving. They had a suspect, but deputies were able to confirm he was miles away with a family member at the time of the incident.
