Taking shots: Police were advised of a physical altercation involving two women in the 400 block of S. Sixth St., Monday. One of the women told them she’d come to the location to retrieve her child, who the other woman was watching, and alleged the other woman had laid hands on the child. She wanted to pursue charges against the homeowner, alleging she came through the front door and hit her. The homeowner said the child’s mother arrived “banging on (her) door” and said when she opened it, the woman said she was there for her child “because she did not want (the child) being beaten by (her)” and admitted she did hit the woman, which led to the altercation.
