Steubenville Police
Not wanted: A caller reported a small group of homeless people living in tents behind a property in the 1400 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Monday. The caller said a man in the group had previously been told they can't stay on the property and needed to leave but didn't. Police said they told a woman they found at the property they aren't permitted to be there and would have to leave. She left on foot.
Raucous: A father and son caused a disturbance in the 800 block of Oxford Boulevard, Monday. The men told police once they got to the residence they started drinking, then the drinking led to an argument "and then to pushing and shoving." They agreed to separate for the remainder of the evening.
Dangerous: Police were told a juvenile was playing in the trunk of an abandoned car in the 800 block of Lincoln Avenue, Monday. Police located the kids and asked them to stop playing in and around the vehicle.
Vandalized: Police responded to a break-in at the Bishop John Mussio Lovers Lane campus, Monday. The investigation was turned over to city detectives. No further details are available.
Trespassing: Someone reported seeing juveniles in the basement of an abandoned apartment complex in the 200 block of Lawson Avenue, Monday. No one was inside the building but police said the door wasn't secured.
Booked: Jeffrey S. Horkulic, 58, 2242 Powell Ave., Steubenville, failure to appear for probation violation hearing, Monday.
