Donald Edward Soyka III, 31, 3426 Orchard St., Weirton, felony capias, fleeing on foot, obstructing an officer, resisting arrest, May 27, police were called to the 3400 block of Orchard Street for reports of a man threatening a woman. The suspect fled upon police arrival after being advised he was under arrest on an existing felony capias matter. Suspect was apprehended hiding in a closet a short time later.

Steubenville Police
Lost: A man at North Sixth Street and Clinton told police a Brooke County sheriff's deputy dropped him off at the Urban Mission and he got lost, Tuesday. Deputies gave him a ride back to the mission.
Begone: A Steubenville man told police he'd paid a man to haul his truck to a junkyard several days ago be the hadn't been able to do it and now was demanding more money, Tuesday. Both men were told it was a civil matter, but neighbors of the hauler offered to have the truck hauled to his property in Wintersville and all involved agreed it was a good idea.
Helped themselves: The owner of a Spring Avenue property that had been empty about a month rented it, only to discover about 300 feet of copper wire had been stolen from the basement, Tuesday.
Poor kid: A resident was upset when her daughter wouldn't go with her, Tuesday. Police said the woman was intoxicated and wouldn't tell them anything else. The juvenile said her mother showed up unannounced and told police she was irritated because she was drunk. The family member who brought the girl's mother "became annoyed and left (her)," police said. The family whose house she was at told police the girl was welcome to stay.
Booked: Dianna Lynne McCoy, 46, 815 Market St., Apt. B, Steubenville, OVI and failure to comply, Monday. McCoy also was cited for driving under suspension and improper turn after she allegedly made an improper turn from Fourth Street to Slack Street and then tried to flee, police said.
Tool time: A Tweed Avenue resident didn't want to return tools an individual left in her car, Tuesday. She told officers she'd loaned the car to her daughter and when she returned the vehicle the tools were left in it. Police told the owner of the car and the man whose tools were in it that it's a civil issue.
Drugs: Police said a woman in the 800 block of North Fourth Street apparently overdosed, Tuesday. EMS administered eight doses of Narcan.
Cited: Corey L. Bosch, 25, 509 Nebo Drive, Toronto, driving under suspension and speeding. Police allege Bosch was traveling at 65 miles per hour in a 35-mile-per-hour zone Tuesday on Washington Street Hill.
Booked: Dakota Mikel Egnew, 26, no fixed address, Steubenville, F2 burglary warrant, Monday; Kenneth L. Payne, 46, 1269 Sinclair Ave., Steubenville, possession of drug paraphernalia and receiving stolen property, Monday. Payne allegedly had a glass pipe in his pocket when he was taken into custody.
Cited: Justice S. Irby, 29, 834 Rosswell Ave., Steubenville, expired license less than six months and speeding. Police allege Irby was going 40 mph in a 25-mph zone;
Code issues: Notices of violation were sent to owners or occupants of properties at 1971 McCauslen Manor, 729 Rosswell Ave. and 422 Clinton St., all for high weeds or grass.
