Charged: Manuel J. Reeves Jr., 48, Massillon, domestic battery, strangulation and grand larceny, on Thursday for allegedly punching a woman known to him in the face, attempting to strangle her and taking two cell phones from her.

Feeling entitled: A woman who couldn't pay for the gas she wanted threatened the staff at Circle K, Sunday. Police said the woman ate a donut while she argued with employees "and got more upset when she was told she needed to pay for it," too. At one point she walked behind the counter and told the clerk she "would send people to jump her kids in school (and) send people to her house before leaving in a dark-colored sedan that apparently had gas in the tank.
Discussion: Two people at a Wildon Avenue location were involved in a disturbance, Saturday. The woman said she and her boyfriend had argued "as she recently discovered (he) had been cheating on her," police said. He told police all they'd done was argue and he just wanted to leave the residence. Later, police were called to a residence in the 1300 block of Wellesley Avenue where the woman had gone to confront her boyfriend. The woman who owns the property where he'd taken refuge told police she didn't want the other woman on her property. When police got there, she was still standing on the front porch of the residence, and they told her she was "not permitted to (go) to someone's residence unannounced and unwanted only to cause further issues with (the man)." They escorted her from the property and warned her she'd be charged with trespassing if she returned.
Say goodbye: A woman living at a Teresa Drive residence told police she and her boyfriend had been drinking and started arguing over a cell phone, Sunday. She said she was gathering her things to leave when he "grabbed her by the foot and dragged her up the staircase" and her head had hit off the wall. Some pictures were broken in the process, officers said. She had a lump on her head and a cut on her knee but didn't want to go to the hospital or pursue charges
Think before you speak: A Toronto woman who told police another woman had taken her cell phone the day before falsely claimed they didn't try to get her to give it back, Saturday. Police told the Toronto woman they had spoken with the female she claims has her phone and could prove it with body cam footage that shows the other female denying she had it as the officer was arresting the Toronto woman on an outstanding warrant. She then gave them her phone number so they could call the woman, but they pointed out if the person in possession didn't bring it to the station willingly, she'd have to pursue the matter in court.
Flagrant foul: Employees at a Sunset Boulevard business told police a female "has been continuously entering the store and stealing items," and had been in the store, "staggering around as if high on narcotics or alcohol" again, Saturday. They said the woman "made her way through the store, taking merchandise and concealing (it) in a bag" and that another woman came in the store who appeared to be with her, then they drove off together in a gray Chevy Malibu with temporary Pennsylvania plates. They gave police a picture of the vehicle and its license plate, as well as footage of the theft.
Noise maker: Callers complained about a man in the 700 block of Market Street yelling, but when police talked to him, he insisted he wasn't, Saturday. Police told him to keep it down.
Stuck: An over-height Dodge 3500 van got hung up trying to exit the Market Street Bridge, Saturday. The drivers, both Russian, told police through Google Translate they'd been driving all night and were directed to the bridge by GPS, and that neither of them noticed the height restriction before trying to cross. They said the delivery van was damaged when they got on the bridge on the West Virginia side. Police stood by while they dismantled the box portion of the truck so they could get the vehicle off the bridge.
Missing: A Colonial Drive resident told police his wallet came up missing after friends stayed at his apartment, Friday. He said it had his Social Security and EBT cards, as well as an important letter from his employer.
Porch theft: A North Sixth Street resident said someone stole a wicker table from her porch, Saturday. She told police the table is part of a set and believes the home was targeted by a juvenile who'd been banned from the property by a family member the day before.
Loud knocker: Callers complained of a woman pounding on front doors in the 700 block of Market Street, Saturday. Police said they located the woman walking on Market Street and said she told them she was trying to visit a resident, but he wasn't home.
Towed: Someone parked a white Dodge Charger in front of a garage in the 100 block of South Fourth Street, Saturday. The property owner said he needed access to the garage immediately, so the vehicle was towed.
Wasted: A man who was "slipping in and out of consciousness: was taken to the hospital, Sunday. Steubenville firefighters/EMS administered 4 milligrams of Narcan "which only had a slight positive effect" on him, police said. Due to what they described as an "extreme intoxicated state and his inability to comprehend it," police did not issue him a drug treatment form.
Partying too hard: Callers reported a loud party in the vicinity of Woodlawn Boulevard and Pershing Avenue, Saturday. Police said they could hear a loud radio and people yelling as they approached the residence, and said the owner told them they were going to tell people to leave. A loud party also was reported in the 1900 block of Majestic Circle, Sunday. The homeowner turned the volume down and had everyone leave, police said.
Picture this: City cameras caught a Ford Mustang doing burnouts in the parking lot at Belleview Park, Sunday. Police said all three occupants were juveniles, so they reunited them with their parents.
Worn out welcome: There was a disturbance reported in the 600 block of Broadway Boulevard, Sunday. They spoke with the male first, who told them he and his fiance got in an argument and she pushed him. The female said she'd allowed him to stay there for several days but when he started arguing with her daughter's boyfriend, she wanted him to leave. Police discovered the woman had an active protection order barring him from having contact with her, so they summoned Da'Ton Feaster, 38, 647 Broadway Blvd., Steubenville, to court for violating the judge's order.
Needs better friends: Steubenville firefighters/EMS were treating a woman in the 200 block of Cunningham Lane for a possible overdose, Sunday. The woman said she'd used cocaine friends gave her "and had an obvious adverse reaction," police said. Once she was in the ambulance, police issued her a drug treatment form and sent her to the hospital.
Cited; Destiny N. Earich, 25, 815 Wood St., Wellsville, expired plates and failure to yield after a two-car accident on state Route 7 at Washington Street, Sunday. There were no injuries.
Booked: Angela E. Masse, 58, 2084 county Road 26, Steubenville, warrant for burglary, Sunday.
Hit-skip: A Lawson Avenue resident told police someone hit her parked car overnight, Sunday. Police said the driver-side mirror was destroyed and the front fender was dinged.

Wakeup call: A St. Clairsville man found out from Ohio State Highway Patrol his 2012 Chevy Cruze had been wrecked in Smithfield, Thursday. He said he was told a female named Brianna was found with it but the only person who was supposed to have access to it was his mechanic in Bloomingdale. He said his 2019 Jeep Compass also is missing, so deputies entered it as stolen.
Inebriated: A caller reported a reckless driver on Stadium Road, Smithfield, and said he appeared to be passed out, Friday. Deputies located the vehicle and the driver, who they said was indeed "very lethargic and failing to comprehend anything … asked (of) him." When he finally rolled the window down, they said they smelled alcohol and his eyes were bloodshot and glossy, his speech was slurred, and he was "unable to comprehend what they were asking him." The owner of the home where he was parked came out and said the driver was his cousin and lives with him.
Suspicious: A suspicious person was reported outside a home in Bloomingdale, Saturday. The caller described the individual as a "large male wearing a baseball cap." Deputies checked the area without success.
