Pushy guests: A North Fourth Street resident told police two women known to her damaged her sofa, ripping open part of the cushion, Wednesday. The back of the cushion was ripped, exposing the padding inside.
Helped himself: A man tried to leave Kroger with a shopping cart loaded with food he hadn’t paid for, Wednesday. Employees said when the wheels locked up he “frantically began to drag the cart.” None of the merchandise was bagged, and police estimated the value of the food at $150.
Open air: A gun was found in a grassy area in the 3000 block of Johnson Road, Wednesday.
