Roadrunner: A caller reported a female asking for help, saying she was "being chased by coyotes and Bigfoot," Tuesday. Deputies said the woman smelled of alcohol and said she "needed to get off this mountain because she didn't want to get eaten by coyotes or Bigfoot." She told them she didn't have identification because "they" took it, then told them she left it and her kid with her ex. Police spotted her purse on the road and gave it to her. The ex said he brought her home "and she was screaming at him for the last two hours and then she wanted to leave." He said he followed her to try to get her to get in his vehicle "and she swung at him," deputies said.
Cited: A caller reported seeing two women walking away from a minivan that traveled through a yard and over a hill on Talbott Drive, Wintersville. Deputies said Wintersville Police already had located the women. Meghan Liddick, 31, 215 N. 4th St., Toronto, was cited for failure to control and failure to reinstate, deputies said.
Hasty departure: An officer trying to serve a court subpoena at a residence in Bloomingdale said he could see the woman he was looking for through her front door window, but when he called out "sheriff's office" and said he was there with paperwork, she dropped to the floor and crawled down the hallway.
Cooking mishap: A Richmond teen suffered burns when she tried to hard-boil and egg in a bowl of water in a microwave oven, Tuesday. She told deputies when she went to get the bowl out of the microwave it exploded, spraying her with hot water.
Clean sweep: A woman said her ex walked in her house and threw a bottle at her, Tuesday. She said he dumped a bottle of laundry detergent on her. She didn't want to pursue charges but she asked deputies to tell him to stay away and return her spare key.
Booze talking: A couple arguing caused a disturbance in Rayland, Tuesday. The male was still there and told deputies they'd been drinking and "she got mad and left on foot."
Booked: Brandon Pegg, no age listed, 437 Township Road 448A, Bloomingdale, violating a protection order, Tuesday.
Cited: Dakota Egnew, 95 Township Road 1337, Toronto, driving under suspension and expired registration.
Steubenville Police
Booked: A woman is facing multiple charges after a disturbance at a Longford Drive residence, Tuesday. Police said charges of domestic violence, obstruction and resisting arrest are pending against Jewell Young, 26, 701 N. Sixth St., Steubenville. Young allegedly had too much to drink and when she woke up, wanted food. Her ex said he made her a sandwich and when he brought it to her, she threw it on the floor, then told a child to clean it up. When her ex told the child he would clean it up she allegedly flew into a rage, slapping her ex across the face and then punching him, eventually throwing him down the stairs, destroying the banister. He alleges she destroyed one TV and threw another at him along with a bicycle, and when he called police she allegedly hit him with a bottle. Her ex had a bit of a bloody nose and some swelling under his eye. Police said her ex, Eugene Williams, 36, 805 Longford Drive, Steubenville, also was served with an outstanding warrant for driving under suspension.
Crowd: A crowd was reportedly gathered in the vicinity of Ridge Avenue at Carnegie Street, Tuesday. A man from the 1400 block of Ridge Avenue told police students "are doing a lot of hazing and that a group of females were there hazing one of their friends." Police said everything appeared in order.
Fired up: A customer made a $400 cash deposit into an ATM and was upset when it didn't post to her account, Tuesday. Employees advised an error occurred within the ATM and once a dispute is filed the money will be credited to her account, police said.
Helping themselves: A North Fourth Street resident said two people were trying to take scrap from his property, Monday. The couple told police they thought the scrap was "put out for someone to take," police said.
Booked: Alisha Zack, 38, 1101 Riverview Ave., Steubenville, domestic violence, Tuesday. Police reported Zack and her sister had a disagreement.
Theft: Two men stole cell phones from a wireless store on Sunset Boulevard, Tuesday. One of the men asked to look at a phone, and after putting it on the counter he walked around the store until she was distracted by another customer then grabbed the phone and fled. She said she discovered a display phone missing after the second customer told her he needed to go to his car and grab his ID to make a purchase. The first customer was described as a male with long dreadlocks wearing black pants, a black jacket with bright colors on his shoulders.
Booked: Two women were taken into custody after Kroger employees reported an alleged shoplifting incident, Tuesday. Police said Breona Nicole Williams, 31, 808 Wilkens St., Steubenville, is facing contempt of court and misdemeanor theft, while Jiah L. Minniefield, 26, 624 N. Fourth St., Steubenville, misdemeanor theft and possession of drug paraphernalia. Minniefield also was served with a warrant for theft, and Williams with warrants for theft and criminal trespass, police said.
Vandalism: A Ridge Avenue resident found purple graffiti on his garage doors, Tuesday. Police said the substance wasn't paint so it can be washed off.
Code issues: Notices of violation were sent to owners/occupants of properties at 1311 Oregon Ave., 1319 Oregon Ave., 1321 Oregon Ave., 1342 Oregon Ave., 713 Woodlawn Road, 715 Woodlawn Road, 2661 Alvaredo Blvd. and 2119 Sunset Blvd., all for high weeds/grass; and 1221 Oregon Ave., mattresses and litter; 311 Belleview Blvd. and 1439 Belleview Blvd., both with litter and junk piled behind residence.
Telling tales: A Wilkens Street resident called in a possible overdose, but when police got there she told them she hadn't called and everyone was fine. Earlier in the day, a disturbance had been reported at the residence but upon arrival, both parties advised all was OK and it had been strictly verbal.

Cited: Madeline Kreitzer-Doyle, 28, 1713 Oregon Ave., Steubenville, speeding and expired plates; Madison Long, 17, 1910 Charles St., Steubenville, assured clear distance ahead; Tony Oaks, 43, 56 Talbot Drive, Wintersville, trespassing and open container.
Charged: Jeremy R. Korzendorfer, 32, Point Vue, Pa., possession of drug paraphernalia.
Ex trouble: A woman trying to pick her kids up at her ex's residence in the 900 block of Sherman Avenue told police he wouldn't let her take them after she refused to drive him to the hospital to visit his sister, Friday. She said he forced her out of his house and had scratches on her arms but didn't want to pursue charges. Police were unable to make contact with the man to check on the children.
Playing ball: A caller reported a group of people in the roadway in the 400 block of Woodland Avenue with baseball bats threatening to kill one another, Friday. Police said the area was clear and quiet and the caller told police the group had left before they arrived.
