Outstayed his welcome: A man who’d been at a residence in the 1500 block of Oregon Avenue said he “was forced to leave the house because a male there had a … handgun,” Tuesday. Police located a man at the residence who denied threatening him, and the homeowner said she’d asked him “multiple times to leave before he did.”
Near miss: A DoorDash driver got stuck in the parking lot behind Sunset Motors, Tuesday. She told police her GPS took her behind the dealership to Powell Avenue “and approached a grassy hillside and concrete stairwell.” She said she tried to drive back to the road but her vehicle started sliding down the hill to the Hollywood Plaza parking lot, coming to rest “approximately a half an inch from a Sunset Motors vehicle.” Police said there was no sign her vehicle made contact with the dealership vehicle, and said the business owner advised it could be left there until morning when his employees could move vehicles around so she could get out of the lot safely.
Problematic: Richard P. German, 26, no fixed address, petit theft and contempt of court, Tuesday. German was taken into custody after police were called to a Gaylord Towers because a white male had allegedly been “screaming obscenities and racial slurs at residents who were relaxing outside,” security personnel said. They said the man had gone into Family Dollar and when police went inside they found German even though he’d previously been banned from the store. Police said store employees alleged they’d seen him try to steal items from the store before they arrived.

Police said the other woman’s eye was slightly swollen.
Causing problems: A city resident told police she has a protection order against her childrens’ father “and he keeps showing up at her house to drop the kids off then forces his way into the residence,” Tuesday.
