Look up: Vincent Prezzia, 20, Clinton, Pa., failure to control. Police said Prezzia told them he took his eyes off the road to change his radio and struck a car parked in the 1300 block of Oak Grove Avenue near the intersection with Carnegie Street.
Hands off: A water department employee said a homeowner was upset when he couldn't remove the plug to restore service, Wednesday. He said it had been tampered with "in such a way he could not remove it."
Nasty stuff: A city resident told police someone created a Snapchat account using her son's name, then used it to send pornographic images and lewd texts to other kids, Tuesday.
Party crasher: College students having a get-together in their back yard at an Oregon Avenue residence said a man they didn't know crashed the party and wouldn't leave, Tuesday. They said when they asked him to go he threatened them. Police located the male, who was intoxicated, and he told them he was at a party at a family member's house and wanted to cut through the students' back yard to get home. He denied wrongdoing.
Message sent: A resident in the 600 block of Oakmont Avenue told police someone slashed tires on three of her vehicles, Wednesday.
Cited: Daniel P. Gilmore, 69, 2536 Chestnut St., Steubenville, OVI, DUS, and failure to control, Tuesday. A motorist reported a driver in a grey Toyota pickup had just struck the guardrail on the Adams Street ramp. Police said they located the truck on Sunset Boulevard just before Brady Circle West driving erratically and noted new damage on the passenger side fender and tire.
Heard: Officers responded to the 1800 block of Williams Place after a caller reported hearing 10-20 shots fired, Tuesday. The area was checked and no evidence that guns had been fired was located, they said.
Scam: A Lincoln Avenue resident reported fraudulent charges to her Chime account, Tuesday.
Charged: Breonna Williams, 30, no fixed address, Steubenville, petit theft and a probation violation, Wednesday. Williams allegedly took a bluetooth headphone from a Sunset Boulevard business without paying for it, police said.

Mishap: A Wayne Township resident said a man backed into his car parked at the Richmond County Market, Wednesday. He told deputies he collected information from the driver, from Steubenville, and a female passenger, from Weirton, and took a picture of the registration for the black Chevy Trax, which is registered to the woman's former boyfriend. He also said there was a six-pack of beer at the driver's feet.
Hot head: A teen threw a lamp at his mother's fiance during an argument, Wednesday. The boy wanted to go to the carnival at the mall and was irate when he was told no because it was a school night. He yelled and swore at his mother, and when her fiance told him one of these days someone would "kick his ass" the youth said he was irritated with him "running his mouth" and picked up the lamp.
