Steubenville Police

Argument: Two people in Linden Avenue told police they were arguing over crack, Friday. Police observed the female “actively causing a struggle” with the male, and said he told them they were arguing and she began getting in his face so he pushed her off. The woman said he’d accused her of taking his crack, so they argued and he punched her in the face. Police said they saw no visible injuries, but her eyes were red. She said the two of them “had been awake for two days using cocaine.”

Angry: A Linduff Avenue resident said a woman came into her residence while she was sleeping and assaulted her, Saturday. She said the woman accused her of stealing her boyfriend’s marijuana, pulled her out of bed and slammed her against the wall, hitting her in the face. Police said several items were knocked over and the woman had a lump on her forehead. She said the intruder’s boyfriend tried to pull her off.

Uninvited: An Oregon Avenue resident said she found a stranger sitting in her living room, Friday. She told police her dogs started barking, and when she went downstairs to check she found a male juvenile sleeping on her couch. She said when she woke him up and told him to leave he insisted he was in his house, but as she walked him to the door and called police he jumped into the back seat of an older Jeep and left the scene.

Hit-skip: A male wearing a cowboy hat and driving an orange, four-door Ram truck rear-ended the front of a silver BMW parked on Mall Drive then fled the scene, Saturday. The pickup driver was trying to back into a parking space when he hit the BMW, a witness said. Police said the entire front bumper, hood and headlights of the BMW were damaged.

Found: An eyeglass case containing a metal crack pipe, a glass methamphetamine pipe and several drug-related “stamp bags” was found in the grass while a church member was mowing grass on North Fourth Street, Friday. Police destroyed the paraphernalia.

Pilfered: A Broadway Boulevard resident who left his wheelbarrow in front of his residence unattended returned to find it missing, Friday. A neighbor checked his security footage and determined the wheelbarrow was stolen less than an hour after the owner went inside.

Robbed: A gaming computer, ear buds and $850 in cash were stolen from a car in the 200 block of Norris Street, Friday. The owner said he locked the vehicle, but his spare key was missing. He said he keeps it on the vehicle.

Problem: A man in the 400 block of Woodland required two doses of Narcan after overdosing, Friday. Once alert, he admitted to using oxycodone earlier in the day and advised police he is addicted to methamphetamine. He was issued a drug treatment form and transported to the hospital for treatment.

Code issues: Notices of violation were sent to owners/occupants of properties at 503 Union Ave., junk and litter in front and side yard, high grass; 539 Union Ave., 522 Union Ave., 1305 Arlington Ave., 1807 Oregon Ave.

Damaged: A South Bend Boulevard resident told police someone sideswiped his car while it was parked overnight, Friday.

Served: Derek D. Davis, 34, 2400 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville warrat for domestic violence, Friday.

Police filed domestic violence charges against Tremayne L. Davis, 47, 1331 Oregon Ave., Steubenville, Friday.

Miscreant: woman at Murphy Field said a juvenile threw a rock at her, Friday.
