Mr. and Mrs. Edward Bearnot
DORSET, Vt. — Dr. Courtney Pedersen and Edward Bearnot were united in marriage on July 30, 2022, at Marble House Project in Dorset, Vt.
Rabbi Edward Schecter officiated the ceremony.
Dr. Daniel Hodson served as man of honor, and Martin Malmveld was best man. Other members of the wedding party were Emily Schaefer, Jurema Gobena, Rhianne Christopher, Madeleine Ranges, Dr. Margot Robinson, Gabriel Silberblatt, Ethan Oetter, Tanveer Ali, Nash Islam, Corey Cohen and Dr. Benjamin Bearnot, brother of the groom.
A reception was held with friends and family immediately following the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Joanne Pedersen of Bloomingdale and the late Roy Pedersen.
She is a 2005 graduate of Edison High School and a 2009 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh where she earned a bachelor’s of science degree in neuroscience. She served in the U.S. Peace Corps in Senegal for more than three years, then earned a master’s of public health degree from the Yale School of Public Health in 2016, and her M.D. from Stanford University’s School of Medicine in 2020. She is in her third year of an emergency medicine residency at Brown University.
The groom is the son of Dr. H. Robert Bearnot and Dr. Sherry Katz-Bearnot of Hastings-on-Hudson, N.Y.
He is a 2007 graduate of Hastings High School and a 2011 graduate of Carleton College with a bachelor’s of arts degree in political science. He received an MBA from Yale University’s School of Management in 2017. He is the co-founder and CEO of Frontier Nutrition, which manufactures affordable, nutritious foods to prevent malnutrition in Bangladesh.
The couple honeymooned in Chittenden, Vt., and reside in Providence, R.I.
