Brown — Thompson
STEUBENVILLE — Diana Brown, daughter of MaryJane Brown, and Jason Thompson son of Joyce Thompson, both of Steubenville, were united in marriage on Nov. 17, 2021, during a civil ceremony officiated by Municipal Judge John Mascio.
The couple renewed their vows on May 14, 2022, at Second Baptist Church in Steubenville during a ceremony officiated by the Rev. Marvin E. Barner Jr.
A reception followed at the Steubenville American Legion Post 33.
The bride was given in marriage by her sons, Kwame Jones and Xavier Brown. Ginny Owens of Cleveland served as maid of honor.
Ritchie Thompson of Fresno, Calif., brother of the groom, was best man.
Other members of the wedding party were Makayla Thompson, daughter of the groom; Serenity Creech, daughter of the bride; Josea Bishop, sister of the bride; Aniya Mitchell, granddaughter of the groom; Maeleeona Jones, all of Steubenville; Rachel Thompson of Fresno, Calif., sister-in-law; Joseph Brown, brother of the bride; Merle Thompson, cousin of the groom; Anthony Mitchell, grandson of the groom; and Jason Thompson Jr., of Lisbon, son of the groom.
Kylee Jones, granddaughter of the bride, was the flower girl.
The bride and groom are graduates of Steubenville High School. The bride is employed at the Herald-Star and The Weirton Daily Times. The groom works at TIMET.
The couple reside in Steubenville.
