Mr. and Mrs. James Snider

HOPEDALE - James and Laura Snider of Hopedale celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on July 20 with a family reunion at their home.They were married on July 18, 1953, at the First Nazarene Church in Steubenville, with the Rev. N.W. Shirkey officiating.He is the son of the late William and Nancy Snider. He retired from Weirton Steel Corp. after 42 years. He served in the Navy for four years.She is the daughter of the late Bentson and Ida Beckett.There are three children: Mark and Brenda of Cadiz and Rhonda of Mansfield. There are six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. William Stephens

WEIRTON - Mr. and Mrs. William C. Stephens Sr. of Weirton will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Friday.The couple were married on Aug. 23, 1963, at the Hooverson Heights Church of Christ.He is the son of the late David and Janie Stephens. He worked as a machinist at Weirton Steel Corp. for 26.She is the daughter of the late Clark and Mildred Schlotter. She worked at the office of Dr. J.K. Luthra and Dr. Tac Lee for 25 years.They are members of Cove Presbyterian Church.They have two children: William C. Jr. of New Alexandria and Leesa Boyd of Weirton. There are four grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Moore

WELLSBURG - Arnold R. "Ky" and Patricia A. Moore of Wellsburg celebrated their 61st anniversary on Thursday.They were married on Aug. 22, 1952, at Franklin Methodist Church in Wellsburg, with the Rev. Jacob Scharder officiating.She is the daughter of the late George and Nellie McGowan.He is the son of the late Noah and Elie Moore. He retired in 1988 after 27 years of employment with Koppers.They have two children: Gregory of Midwest City, Okla., and Cathy of Wellsburg. There are four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

FOLLANSBEE - Dan and Karen Cooper of Follansbee recently celebrated their 30th anniversary.They were married on Aug. 27, 1983, at the Farmdale Church of Christ in Barboursville, W.Va. The Rev. Randy Frederick of the Follansbee Church of Christ officiated.He is the son of Bill and Bobbie Cooper of Follansbee. He is the minister of the Hooverson Heights Church of Christ in Follansbee.She is the daughter of Richard and Barbara Plybon of Ona, W.Va.They have two sons, Ben of Follansbee and Drew of Dayton.

WELLSBURG - John and Lori Cooper will celebrate their 25th anniversary on Tuesday.They were married on Sept. 3, 1988, at the Christian Church in Wellsburg with Ministers Tom Lohr and Randy Frederick officiating.He is the son of Bill and Bobbie Cooper of Follansbee.She is the daughter of Jack Wells of Wellsburg and Saundra Wells of Wellsburg.They are the parents of two children, Tyler and Jenna.

WELLSBURG - Bill and Karen Williams of Wellsburg will celebrate their 50th anniversary on Sept. 7.They were united in marriage on Sept. 7, 1963, at the Central Baptist Church in Hinton, W.Va., by the late Rev. W. Robert McCoy.A native of South Charleston, she is the daughter of the late Mary Caldwell and Cy Mazzella. She is retired from the Brooke County Ambulance Service and employed part-time by the Brooke County Solid Waste Authority.He is the son of the late Thomas E. and Helen Williams Ventresca.
