STEUBENVILLE — Mr. and Mrs. William Owens celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Oct. 9 at a party held at Scaffidi’s in Steubenville.

Owens and the former Marilyn Griffo were united in marriage on Oct. 9, 1971, at St. Pius X in Steubenville by the Rev. Mascolino.

She is the daughter of the late John and Josephine Griffo. She worked at Rite Aide for 21 years before retiring.

He is the son of the late William and Betty Owens. He worked at Weirton Steel MIS group for 24 years before his retirement.

They have two children, Amy Ford of Richmond and Brian Owens of Mingo Junction. They have two granddaughters.
