FOLLANSBEE — Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Duane Heck of Follansbee are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary.

Heck and the former Carol Ann Lewis were married on May 6, 1961, at the First Presbyterian Church in Follansbee. The late Rev. John Bates officiated the ceremony.

He is retired as a diesel-electric railroad engineer from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel after 33 years of service.

She retired from REM of W.Va. with the highest honor of the Ripple Award after 29 years of service.

The couple have two children — Becky Raineri of Follansbee and Doug Heck of Woodstock, Ga.

They have five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The couple celebrated at a family dinner at Drover’s Inn in Wellsburg.
