Mr. and Mrs. Tom Ogden
NEWELL — Mr. and Mrs. Tom Ogden of Newell celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a small dinner party hosted by their children on Jan. 31.
Ogden and the former Anna Mae Monroe were united in marriage on Jan. 27, 1961, at Newell Glendale Church of the Nazarene where the Rev. Wilbur Beaver officiated.
Ogden was a building contractor and built many area homes. In 1976, the couple started Builders Wholesale Home Center. Today, they co-own Builders Wholesale with their son Tommy.
He is a member of the East Liverpool United Methodist Church. She is an active member of Glendale Church of the Nazarene.
The Ogdens have three children: Christine Capito of Newell; the Rev. Tracy Johnson of Ravenna; and Tommy Ogden of Chester. There are three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
