WELLSBURG -- Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Royal of Wellsburg celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Dec. 20.
Royal and the former Victoria Mayo were united in marriage on Dec. 20, 1969, in Wellsburg.
He is retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel. She is a retired secretary for Al's Auto.
They have two children, Anthony Royal of Wellsburg and Chris Royal of Weirton. They have four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A celebration dinner with family and friends was held in their honor.
