FOLLANSBEE -- Alfonse and Dolores "Doe" Sachini of Follansbee celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on Oct. 19.
They were united in marriage on Oct. 19, 1946, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Cecil, Pa. with the Rev. Pastious officiating.
A World War II veteran of the Navy, serving in the Pacific, he is the son of the late Luigi and Ersilia Sachini and the late stepfather Alto Cipoletti.
She is the daughter of the late John and Lena Williamson.
The couple have a son, Cliff of Follansbee, and three grandchildren.
A family celebration was held in Pittsburgh.
