WEIRTON -- Rick and Cindy Parker of Weirton are celebrating their 45th wedding anniversary today.
Parker, the son of the late Stanley and Roselyn Parker, and the former Cindy McQuain, daughter of the late Jack and Grace McQuain, were married on Sept. 18, 1971, at the old St. Paul's Church on County Road.
He retired from Weirton Steel Corp., and she was a substitute aide in Hancock County Schools.
They have two children: Jody Desiderio of Weirton and Ryan Parker of Toledo. They have two granddaughters.
A family celebration was held in August at Lake Erie.
