NEW CUMBERLAND -- John and Rebecca Patterson, formerly of New Cumberland, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 27 by hosting a dinner at the Tower of the Americas' Chart House Restaurant, San Antonio, Texas, where the couple now reside.
Helping them celebrate were their two daughters, Staci and Amy, and their families.
Patterson and the former Rebecca Wise were united in marriage on Aug. 27, 1966, at the Free Methodist Church in New Cumberland. The Rev. George C. Sherry officiated.
He is the son of the late W. Blair and Audrey Patterson and is a retired Air Force veteran and middle school science teacher.
She is the daughter of the late William and Hettie Wise and is a retired oral surgery office administrator and homemaker.
