WEIRTON -- Pete and Nancy Rohal of Weirton are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.
They were united in marriage on Aug. 6, 1966, at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Steubenville.
He is the son of the late Pete and Anna Rohal and was a science teacher for more than 40 years at Weir High School where he taught anatomy and physiology and advanced biology. He is an active member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church.
She is the daughter of the late Basil and Helen Barna and worked in the business office at Sears, Roebuck & Co. before becoming a homemaker.
They have three children: Dr. Kristina Gansle of Cincinnati, Jeffrey of Charleston, W.Va., and Kimberly DiGiandomenico of Clarksburg, Md. There are six grandchildren.
A family gathering in celebration of their anniversary was held in Canaan Valley.
