WELLSBURG -- James and Mary Jean Bonar of Wellsburg are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary.
They were married July 14, 1956, in the First Presbyterian Church, Wellsburg, with the Rev. Conrad Steinbrenner officiating.
He is retired from Weirton Steel and is a member of Grove United Presbyterian Church of West Middletown, Pa.
She is a retired piano teacher and serves as director of music at Grove U.P. Church.
They have four children: Carol Jean Couch of Wheeling, Russell of Fairbanks, Ark.; and Marianne K. Cunningham of Wellsburg; and Diane Elizabeth, who is deceased. They have seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A family-sponsored reception will be held at the church from noon to 2 p.m. Sept. 25.
