Ruth Marie (Shawver) Pickens, 81 of Follansbee, WV, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at Brightwood Center, Follansbee, WV. Ruth was born on January 15, 1945 in Steubenville, OH. She was the daughter of the late Donald Shawver and Edith (Dennis) Shawver. Ruth was a member of the Hooverson Heights Church of Christ. She retired after many years of service to the Brooke County Schools where she worked in Special Education.
