OAK GLEN SPLITS AT A TRI
MORGANTOWN -- The Oak Glen volleyball team split a tri match on the road on Thursday at University, topping Parkersburg South 2-1 while falling 0-2 to the host Hawks.
In a close first match, the Golden Bears won by scores of 25-12, 24-26, 17-15.
Caetlyn Six had nine kills, Naomi Ayers and Mikalyn Balch had five kills each, Audrina May, Laikynn Eckleberry, and Mattie Carney had four kills each, Mikalyn Balch had 20 assists and Bryson Adams had 10 assists. Keira Vick had 18 digs and two assists and Kendall Six had eight digs.
Against University, the Bears fell by scores of 25-18 and 25-12.
Caetlyn Six had four kills, Zoey Caughey had three kills, Laikynn Eckleberry had three kills and Mattie Carney had two kills. Mikalyn Balch had 11 assists, two kills and seven digs. Bryson Adams had two assists and two digs. Keira Vick had six digs, Kendall Six had four digs, Layla Skavenski had three digs and Ellie Smith had two digs.
Oak Glen, now 13-6, travels to Beaver Local on Tuesday.

WINTERSVILLE -- The Indian Creek girls soccer team’s four-game win streak came to an end on Thursday with a close 3-2 loss to visiting Cambridge at Kettlewell Stadium.
The Redskins are now 5-6 on the season.
