Edison boys top Beallsville

BEALLSVILLE — The Edison boys basketball team got off to a fast start and did not look back in rolling to a 71-38 victory over Beallaville Wednesday night on the road in OVAC Consolation Pool action.

The Wildcats scored 23 in the first and 22 in the second, opening a 23-point halftime lead.

Jackson McBane led the Wildcats offensive effort with a 24-point performance, while Kyle Long netted 12 and Bryce Rogers tallied 11.

Edison returns home on Friday night hosting Conotton Valley in OVAC Consolation Pool action.

Wildcats top Creek on senior night

RICHMOND — The Edison wrestling team celebrated its seniors and sent them off in style with a 50-30 dual win over rival Indian Creek in their final home match of the season Wednesday night.

Seniors Cole Pittman and Gabe Glenn pinned their way to victories for the Wildcats.

Edison competes in the sectional tournament at Claymont on Feb. 22.
