Red Knights volleyball team sweeps Lisbon

TORONTO — The Toronto volleyball team topped Lisbon in straight sets on Wednesday, 25-23, 25-22, 25-21, to improve to 7-5 on the season.

Leading the way for the Red Knights were Hannah Dobbs with 21 kills, 11 digs, two aces and two blocks, Andrea Reeves with 34 assists, four blocks and 11 digs, Ashton Thomas with nine kills, six blocks and two aces, Callie Anderson with 10 kills and 16 digs and Taylie Thomas with 35 digs and two kills.

Toronto is home against today hosting Weir High at 5:30 p.m.

Weir girls tie Dover

DOVER — The Weir High girls soccer team tied Dover on Tuesday, 1-1.

Jaidyn Kelly scored the goal for the Red Roders, now 2-6-2, with an assist from Liv Baker.

Rayna Hoover made eight saves in goal.

Weir is scheduled to play Linsly on Tuesday at home.

Brooke hosts quad on senior night

WELLSBURG — Brooke hosted a quad on its senior night at Highland Springs on Tuesday, placing third.

John Marshall, with a team score of 172, topped Big Red’s 187, the Bruins’ 193 and Oak Glen’s 212.

The Monarchs’ Mason Orndorf was the medalist with a 40.

For the Bruins, Alex Jezierski shot a 45, Nick Cipoletti a 48, Nick Pollock a 49 and Colton Haught a 51.

Big Red got a 41 from Bubby Reese, a 47 from Cole Antiel, a 49 from Vasile Matzorkis and a 50 from Corryn Lahr.

Oak Glen got scores of 51 from Logan Weekley and Seanessy Adkins and 54s from Brasinn Provenzano and Caleb Lang.
