Big Red Boosters meeting tonight

STEUBENVILLE — The Big Red Boosters Club will meet tonight at 6 p.m. at the Harding Stadium field house. All are welcome, memberships available. Mask and distance protocols will be in effect.

Brooke volleyball tops Big Red

WELLSBURG — The Brooke volleyball team defeated Big Red at home Monday night with a sweep, 25-18, 26-24, 25-22.

The Bruins (9-5) were led by Preslei Ridgley with 16 kills, 14 digs and six aces, Ava Bolen with 10 blocks and five kills, Morgan Engle with 33 digs and 10 kills and Mia Camilletti with 50 digs.

Olivia Beecroft had 17 assists, while Ella Haught registered 19 assists.

The Bruins are on the road at St. Clairsville on Wednesday.

Redskins sweep rival Wildcats

WINTERSVILLE — The Indian Creek volleyball team continued its strong season Monday night by sweeping rival Edison, 25-16, 25-23, 25-19.

The Redskins (12-3) got seven kills, two blocks, two digs and an ace from Taylor Jones, eight kills, two digs and an ace from Olivia Wukelic, seven kills, three aces and a dig from Lexi Crane, four kills and four blocks from Gracie Francis, while Lyndi Starkey had 14 assists and Carley Penner tallied 11 assists. Jordan Hiles recorded six digs and five aces with one kill.

For Edison, Kaitlin Kowalczyk had eight points, Karissa Speedy had 50 sets and nine assists while Corrine Freeman and Olivia Huff both registered four kills and four blocks.

Indian Creek travels to Beaver Local on Thursday, while Edison returns home to face Toronto tonight.

Crusaders down Toronto

STEUBENVILLE — The Catholic Central volleyball team swept Toronto Monday night, 25-17, 25-18, 25-10.

The Crusaders, who improve to 5-8, were led by 14 kills, five blocks, five digs and an ace from Clara Symington, while Cici Ivanic tallied seven kills, two assists, three blocks and three digs, Adriana LeFever 15 assists, six kills, five aces, four digs and a block, Mari Molo 16 assists, three kills, two digs and a block and Jayda Jones eight digs, two kills an assists and an ace.

Harrison topped by Red Devils

CADIZ — The Harrison Central volleyball team fell to St. Clairsville Monday, 3-1.

The Huskies won the second set 25-22, while St. Clairsville won the first (25-14), third (25-17) and fourth (25-16).

Harrison Central got 11 blocks and nine kills from McKayla Dunkle, 11 assists and nine digs from Lexi Ferguson and 11 digs from Maddy Butler.
