Fiedorczyk’s 22 points leads Edison girls past Southern Local on road

SALINEVILLE — The Edison girls basketball team opened up a double-digit lead in the first quarter and didn’t look back on Wednesday, topping Southern Local on the road 52-30.

Alysea Fiedorczyk had 22 points to lead the Wildcats, while Mikayla Petrisko finished with 11 points and Savanna Ankrom had eight points.

Fiedorczyk drained four 3-pointers.

Edison led 18-8 after one and 28-12 at halftime. The Wildcats out-scored Southern 15-6 in the fourth to seal the win.

MARTINS FERRY — Martins Ferry pulled away from Buckeye Local on Wednesday night, 80-33.

The Panthers were led by 11 points from Landyn Walker, while Alli Trekal had seven points and Megan Valuska had six points.

The Purple Riders got 17 points from Richella Spielvogel and had three players in double digits.
