Huskies down CCHS, Edison
CADIZ — The Harrison Central volleyball team defeated Catholic Central and Edison during a tri on Tuesday.
Catholic Central did earn a split, defeating the Wilcats, 12-25, 25-21, 25-22. Edison then fell to the Huskies, 25-16, 25-23. Finally, Harrison Central bested the Crusaders, 29-27, 25-20.
Overall, Lexi Ferguson compiled 36 assists and 19 digs for Harrison Central. Kobey Johnson recorded 13 kills and 19 digs. McKayla Dunkle had 18 kills and six digs, while Maddy Butler dug out 17 balls.
For the Crusaders, Kate Dorsey tallied 13 points, one kill, four aces and 24 digs. Adriana LeFever had nine points, 17 assists, a pair of kills and seven digs. Anna Godich delivered 11 kills, 12 assists, an ace, three points and five digs. Theresa Bahen chipped in nine points, five kills and 13 digs.
For the Wildcats, who host Weir for senior night today, Karissa Speedy had 21 points and 13 assists. Corinne Freeman contributed 10 kills and four blocks. Mikayla Petrisko had 11 points in the first game, while Katelin Kowaltzyk had nine points and five assists in the final match.
