Kinsey pitches Creek by Brooke

WINTERSVILLE — The Indian Creek softball team bested Brooke, 8-2, on Tuesday.

Kaydee Kinsey started and picked up the victory for the Redskins. She went the distance, walking none and striking out eight in the process. Taylor Scott had the big bat, hitting a home run, single and drove home three runs. Haylie Scott singled twice and doubled. Megan Kelley had a single and two RBIs. Kacie Vandeborne added a double.

For the Bruins (10-8), Rachel Kazmirski pitched for the first time in two weeks. She was limited and took the loss in three innings, walking two and striking out six batters. Maleaha Misch pitched the final three innings, walking three and striking out one. Offensively, Gabby Veltri had two singles and an RBI. Kloee Billick singled and drove home a run.

PARKERSBURG — The Steubenville softball team had an offensive explosion and defeated Parkersburg South, 13-2, in six innings on Tuesday.

Stef Blackburn picked up the victory for Big Red. She went the distance and struck out three. Madison Fields had three hits, two walks and three RBIs on offense. Sam Cucarese produced two hits and three RBIs. Maggie Cucarese finished with three hits.

Conotton Valley 3

WEIRTON — Madalena Daugherty pitched and hit the Madonna softball team to an 11-3 victory over Conotton Valley on Tuesday.

Daughery picked up the win and went the distance, striking out three and walking none. Offensively, she had a single, double and an RBI. Michaella Battista singled twice and drove home three runs. Jordan Schubert and Mikayla Sole each had two RBIs. Gia Riccadonna added a double and an RBI.

Janaya Montgomery picked up the complete-game victory, walking two and striking out four in the process. On offense, Maddie McKay collected three hits, was a home run shy of the cycle and drove in three runs. Alexa Andrews had a double, triple and two RBIs. Hannah Walker singled and doubled, while Eileen Flowers produced two singles and two RBIs.

TORONTO — Eleven fielding errors cost the Toronto softball team during its 20-7 defeat to Lisbon on Tuesday.

The Blue Devils also got to Toronto (9-4, 6-3 in the Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference) starter Jamie Anderson. She took the loss in 4 1/3 innings pitched, walking two and striking out two. Riley Kinsey pitched the final 2 2/3 innings.

At the plate, Anderson had two singles, a home run and three RBIs. Kinsey singled twice and drove home a pair. Also singling twice were Shanna Reed and Lexie Thomas.

Both squads play each other again today at Lisbon.
