Red Knights win 24th-consecutive conference game

LEETONIA — The Toronto boys basketball team, ranked third in Division IV in the latest AP Poll, defeated Leetonia on the road on Tuesday night for its 24th-consecutive Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference victory, 70-56.

Trillian West scored 21 points to lead the Red Knights, who improved to 17-1. He also had four steals. Nate Karaffa finished with 19 points and five steals. Lucas Gulczynski scored 17 points and pulled down 17 rebounds.

Toronto opened up a seven-point lead in the first quarter, and led by nine at halftime. It extended the lead to 16 in the third to cruise to the win.

The Red Knights are home on Friday against Southern Local.
