Guest column/Community came together

The Josh Merriman Foundation held its first golf outing on Aug. 19 at the Steubenville Country Club. We are humbled by the outpouring of support for this event.

The community’s support from contributors, sponsors, golfers and volunteers was overwhelming and led to a very successful event.

All proceeds are going directly to the community to enhance concussion and mental health awareness and suicide prevention, as well as scholarships. Thank you for helping to keep our community “safe and sound.”

While many hours of hard work, this was a very rewarding experience for our dedicated volunteers, and we plan to continue to make this an annual event. Our community’s support and generosity is greatly appreciated.
