Beatty Park is a jewel
To the editor:
During a recent visit to Steubenville, I was taken to Beatty Park. I hadn’t seen it in more than 40 years.
My friend told me about the work that had been done by volunteers during many months to refurbish, clean and trim the foliage, pathways and the creek.
What a jewel the people of Steubenville have now. More than 1,000 acres of beautiful forestland, a playground for children and a place where families can gather — what a blessing Beatty Park is now.
I can’t extol its properties enough, but will say the people of Steubenville have a lot to be proud of.
