Choosing country over party
To the editor:
My thanks to Chris Gagin, former chairman of the Belmont County Republican Party, for choosing country over party in his letter of Dec. 13 (“Don’t ignore facts: Trump lost election.”)
As for the Trump followers, they seem to enjoy the notoriety that comes from name-calling and race baiting. Maybe it makes them feel relevant in a world they no longer understand. Modern life can seem confusing but most of us can separate fact from fantasy. Actually accepting facts is where some people struggle. To see things as they are, not how we might like them to be is a sign of strength and maturity.
