Candidate will use his experience

To the editor:

I am Edward Littlejohn and am a candidate for Jefferson County commissioner on the Democratic ticket on Nov. 3. I am a man of integrity in my dealings with people in business and in the community.

I have 40 years of experience as a business owner (martial arts); five-and-a-half years of service to the Steubenville City Board of Education; 10 years of service on the Steubenville Municipal Court community service and probation departments; 15 years of service on the Jefferson Behavior Health Board; and more than 20 years of service as a P.R.I.D.E. leader for the juvenile court system; several years of working with others toward real estate development in the area; am married with children and grandchildren; and am a man of faith.

In essence, you see before you a man who is strong in the community, knowledgeable about budgets and finance, able to listen to both sides of a story and able to make decisions based on facts. When you elect me as your Jefferson County commissioner, I will work with other county commissioners and other elected county officials, mayors, city managers, village administrators, township trustees, the sheriff and county and municipal judges so we can get the job done.

My plan for Jefferson County’s future includes envisioning new and innovative ways to assist in growing a business, improve public service programs and see a better future for the county. I know the legislative process involves working with department heads, reviewing reports from active committees and all the commissioners working toward the great goal of a strong economic base. Together, we can move forward to a prosperous future. For details about my goals as your Jefferson County commissioner, contact me at (740) 632-1196.

Thank you for your consideration, and please exercise your right to vote on Election Day, Nov. 3.

Edward Littlejohn
