We must protect the environment
To the editor:
I am grateful to Randi Pokladnik for her column published in the Herald-Star on July 14 (“Another look at the planned Belmont cracker.”)
If we intend to leave a healthy environment for future generations, we must act. We can and must elect people of integrity to public office at the local, state and federal level. Clean air and water cannot be measured in dollars. We should be alert for those who use fear and slogans in order to avoid making hard choices. We will be remembered based on our ability to think deeply and make those choices.
