It’s our chance to step forward

It wasn’t that long ago our president and the American people knew Supreme Court opinions are not always the law of the land.

Abraham Lincoln rejected the Supreme Court’s decision that black people had no rights in the Dred Scott case.

Now, today, the progressives, socialists and communists and their lap-dog media want everyone to believe the Supreme Court legalized abortion with its Roe v. Wade decision in 1973, and it is now the “law of the land.”

The only law of the land” is our promise — the Declaration of Independence — and our guarantee — the United States Constitution.

The Declaration says, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

Article Vl says, “This Constitution, and the laws of the United States which shall be made in pursuance thereof; and all treaties made, or which shall be made, under the authority of the United States, shall be the Supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every state shall be bound there by, anything in the Constitution or laws of any state to the contrary notwithstanding.”

The Supreme Court’s purpose is to determine if a law is constitutional, and the court’s opinion can never contradict the Constitution.

Just as in the Dred Scott case, a human fetus is a person entitled to the full protection of the right to life by the states and our Constitution.

The president takes an oath to “preserve, protect and defend the Constitution,” not Supreme Court opinions.

In Stephen E. Strang’s book “God and Donald Trump,” he says it very well.

“Trump was sent by God as a bull in a china shop to break up the globalist agenda and interrupt the left’s campaign to remake America in their own image. A man with a milder, gentler, less aggressive personality could never hope to take on the forces within the political establishment and prosper, which explains why Donald J. Trump was the perfect choice for this hour.”

President Trump said, “Just imagine what our country could accomplish if we started working together as one people, under one God, saluting one American flag. I’m asking you to dream big because with your vote we are just hours away from the change you’ve been waiting for your entire life. So to every parent who dreams for their child and to every child who dreams for their future I say these words to you tonight. I am with you. I will fight for you, and I will win for you. I promise.

“To all Americans tonight in all of our cities and in all of our towns, I pledge to you one more time: Together we will make America wealthy again. We will make America strong again. We will make America safe again, and we will make America great again.”

He kept his promise ­– now it’s our turn.
