Valley One helps intersection

To the editor:

Next time you drive by the intersection at Sunset Boulevard and Johnson Road, notice that the overgrown hedges, trees, bushes and other debris from vegetation have been cut and removed. Drivers on both roadways can now observe approaching and turning traffic, and a community eyesore is gone, thanks to the efforts of managers, staff members and the board of directors of Valley One Community Federal Credit Union.

Working with the city of Steubenville, Valley One purchased the property. The credit union believes it is its civic and community duty to contribute to the neighborhood it has long served. Grass is being planted and will grow in this location. This task has given a small facelift to a location we can all take pleasure in.

Thanks, Valley One.
