Dominic Mario Micucci, 76 of Follansbee, WV died peacefully on Sunday, October 17 th at Curahealth in Oakdale, PA.
He was born on September 28, 1945, in Steubenville, OH a son of the late Louise E. (Splenda) and Alfred J. Micucci, Sr.
Dominic graduated from Catholic Central High School Class of 1963. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. He worked and retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel where he worked in the Electrical Structure Department.
Dominic is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Cindy (Orsini) Micucci at home; a son, Dr. Marc (Deana) Micucci of Canonsburg, PA; two siblings, Alfred Micucci of Steubenville, OH, Patricia “Patty” Micucci of Follansbee, WV; one granddaughter, Giada; a nephew, Dr. Chad Micucci, and a niece Chelsea Micucci.
Those that were close to Dominic knew he always loved people and socializing. He loved his friends who were always there to help him and make sure he never missed a beat. On behalf of Dominic, his family would like to extend a special thank you to Bob Fayak, John Holub, Frank Barbaryk, Frank Gaich, especially his brother Alfred, and Phil Capobianco and all of his other friends who were there for him. Also, a final thank you to all of his neighbors who helped.
Visitation for Dominic will be held on Tuesday, October 19 th from from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm with a vigil service at 7:30 pm at Mullenbach Funeral Home 669 Main St. Follansbee, WV 26037.
A Catholic Mass for Dominic will be held on Wednesday, October 20 th at 10:00 am with Rev. Fr. Jude Perera officiating at St. Anthony Catholic Church at 1017 Jefferson St. Follansbee, WV 26037.
Entombment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Steubenville, OH.
Full Military Honors will be conducted by the Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad.
